Things to See and Do on the Central Coast … there is so much to do on the Central Coast it is amazing!  One of the most amazing thrills of your life could be to be able to drive your own car out in the sand and make camp!  Yes you can camp right at the beach, on the sand, right next to the water or back in the dunes!  You will need a 4 wheel drive truck to pull a trailer or probably even just explore the back part of the dunes as the sand gets soft!  There are places you can rent quads, dunes buggies, take Hummer tours, go horseback riding … an amazing place to be!

Many refer to them as the Pismo Dunes, some as Pismo State Park, Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve, Pismo Dunes SVRA or Oceano Dunes SVRA.  There are areas that are specifically designated to explore and ride through the State Park and it is patrolled by the Park Rangers.  It does cost $5 for admission per vehicle or you can get an annual pass for $50, $10 for camping per night at the entrance or online at Reserve America.com
