Short Sale Scam. This is the perfect reason why you should never pay any amount of money or any other form of compensation outside of escrow … why you might ask? Well because just as in this case it could be considered fraud! No deal is worth going to jail for any amount of time! Agents … it sure isn’t worth losing your license over either! This knucklehead got caught doing two deals where he had the buyers pay him an extra 3% commission outside of escrow! Why I ask??? Would an agent jeopardize his or her earning capability on something this stupid? It just boils down to greed!
