Section 8 Housing – Los Angeles

Realty Professionals  805-474-7040.  SECTION 8 Housing.  In 1975 the Los Angeles City Housing Authority also known as HACLA implemented what is referred to today as the Section 8 Housing Program.  This program provides rent subsidies in the form of Housing Assistance Payments or otherwise known as HAP’s.  These payments are usually made directly to private landlords on behalf of eligible families usually in the form of Direct Deposits to the Landlord.
