After a Day Long hearing the Coastal Commission has turned down the development of a Sewage Treatment Plant (click to see full article here). The vote was unanimous to rebuild the Morro Bay treatment plant. They (Morro Bay and Cayucos) will have to look further inland and work together to develop a new sewer project. The cost will be an additional $12 to $20 a month on the average sewer bill! Which in the grand scheme of things is only $3000-5000 over 20 years to be protected if the sea level raised and compromised the facility.
