Memorial day in Pismo Beach 2012. May 28, 2012 is Memorial Day and in Pismo beach there are lots to do! Saturday & Sunday there is lots to do around Pismo Beach like the Oceano Dunes where you can ride your Sand Toys … or go camping either on the dunes or in one of the many other campgrounds … Sky Diving, Bi Plane Rides, Hummer Tours, Wine Tasting, Shopping, etc. Monday there will be a Ceremony on the Pier at 11:00 am the will have a Presentation of Colors (American Flag), Pledge of Allegiance, Posting of Colors, Invocation, Introduction of Dignitaries, City Council remarks, Presentation, Keynote speaker Retired Four Star General Michael Carns , “Unknown Soldier”, Wreath Escort Guards post, Laying of Wreath, Firing of Salute, Taps, Benediction, Retire of Colors and Closing Remarks.
