Well about 30 years ago the Purchase Contract was only 1 page, today the Contract is 8 pages plus the Agency form which is two pages, Buyer representation agreement which is 6 pages and a Buyer and Seller Advisory which are two pages each! Plus the Termite form, Proof of Funds for down payment, disclosure of representation of more than one buyer or seller form, trust fund log and a pre-qual letter all which are one page each, so now we are over 30 pages just to listing the property and getting one offer submitted!
With all of the local, state and company disclosures and disclaimers, counter offers, reports, inspections, escrow, title and other documents the files are two to three inches thick! Here at Realty Professionals we are working on becoming paperless, we have a client from time to time requests hard copies instead of electronic copies of the file.
