Frank Lloyd Wright  - Realty Professionals  805-474-7040.  Located right here in San Luis Obispo County is an Amazing Building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1955 and built in 1956.  Here is a true piece of history and amazing detail.  This was one of the last properties that Frank Lloyd Wright designed, he died in 1956 at the age of 90!  Dr. Kundert hired Frank Lloyd Wright to design this building at a rate of $1500.  Kundert grew up in Wisconsin and had seen several of Frank Lloyd Wrights designs and Distinctive buildings and left a strong impression on him.  It was one of the last buildings Wright designed. He died in 1956 at the age of 90.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“This is typical of a Frank Lloyd Wright building — you can’t tell what it is or when it was built,” Kundert said. “You can’t tell whether it was built yesterday or 30 years ago.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The building, which is adorned with handsomely carved wood panels, both inside and outside, has American Indian influences. There also are touches of the Orient.
In his eyes, the building simply has a timeless quality.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“He certainly had integrity,” Kundert recalled. “He had principles he would not break. If you could live within them, he could be quite flexible.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“I told him I wanted to get away from the small waiting room with old magazines,” said Kundert.
