Don’t Pay for a CLUE Report!  Realty Professionals  805-474-7040.  A Real Estate Agent shouldn’t tell you that you have to or are required to order a CLUE report or pay for one as they are Free!  It is not mandatory and there is NO law that says it has to be provided.  What is a CLUE report?  Basically uncovers 5 year Insurance Loss history of a particular address.   Why is this important?  Because it can affect your Insurability and cost to insurance the property if there have been prior claims.  How accurate is the CLUE report?  Just like everything else in life nothing is 100%, it is always up to the Buyer to do their own due diligence and investigations.  Below is a copy of a Marketing piece trying to get you to pay for a CLUE report.
